HVAC Services
From a stuck capacitor to a full system replacement, every job is handled by our own technicians, start to finish.
AC Repair
Warm air, short cycling, a frozen coil or a breaker that keeps tripping. We find the failed part and repair that, not the whole system.
AC repairAC Installation
New systems sized by load calculation, installed to manufacturer spec, and tested with real temperature and airflow readings before we leave.
AC installationHeat Pump Service
Repair, replacement and seasonal checks, including defrost problems, weak heat on cold mornings and noisy reversing valves.
Heat pump serviceFurnace Repair and Installation
No heat, a burner that lights then cuts out, or a furnace that's simply worn out. We repair it when it's worth fixing and replace it when it isn't.
Furnace serviceAir Duct Cleaning
Dust, pet hair and construction debris pulled from the ductwork so air moves freely instead of fighting a clogged system.
Duct cleaningHVAC Maintenance
A cooling check in spring and a heating check in fall catch weak capacitors, dirty coils and slow drains before they cause a breakdown.
Maintenance plansEmergency HVAC Repair
No cooling in August or no heat on a cold night. Call and we'll give you the soonest time we have, honestly, not an optimistic guess.
Emergency repairCommercial HVAC
Rooftop units, split systems and multi-family properties, scheduled around your business hours so tenants and customers stay comfortable.
Commercial HVACWhat Our Technicians Check First
A good diagnosis saves more money than a good price. This is how we think before a tool ever comes out of the truck.
AC blowing warm air
We feel the big copper line at the outdoor unit first. Cold and sweating means refrigerant is moving, so the problem is airflow inside. Warm to the touch points at the compressor instead, a different repair entirely.
Outdoor unit hums, fan won't spin
We check the capacitor before anything else. A swollen capacitor is a small, inexpensive part, and it's behind a lot of "my AC just died" calls in July. Replacing the whole condenser for that is how homeowners get oversold.
Water around the indoor unit
We look at the condensate drain line, not the unit. Algae builds up over the summer, the pan backs up, and water finds your floor. A cleared drain and a working float switch fix it, no refrigerant work involved.
One room always hotter
We check airflow at that vent and follow the duct run in the attic before blaming the system. A crushed flex duct is far more common than an undersized unit, and bigger equipment won't fix air that never reaches the room.
Furnace lights, then shuts off
We watch the full startup. Burners light and cut out within seconds, that's usually a dirty flame sensor. The igniter never glows at all, then it's the igniter itself or the control board.
AC runs nonstop, bill keeps climbing
We compare the system size to the house before quoting anything. Too small and it runs all day without catching up. Too big and it short-cycles, leaving the house cool but sticky. Both waste money, for opposite reasons.
About HVAC Contractor Pro
Seven years in, we've installed more than 3,000 systems across Texas and Florida homes, and our rule hasn't changed since day one: tell the homeowner what's wrong before telling them what it costs.
Our 30+ certified technicians handle repair, maintenance and new installations themselves, not through subcontractors. A lot of our installs start as repair calls, where someone's AC quits mid-summer and we tell them honestly whether it's worth fixing. Sometimes it's a small part and a short visit. Sometimes the unit is old enough that the repair cost doesn't make sense, and we lay out both options with real numbers.
Every new system is sized by load calculation, not a guess based on square footage. Every price is written down before work starts.
How a Service Visit Works
Four steps, the same way every time, whether it's a repair call or a full replacement.
-
STEP 01
Book your visit
Call or book online. Tell us what the system is doing and we'll find a time that works.
-
STEP 02
We find the cause
The technician tests the system and shows you what failed, with photos for attic or rooftop work.
-
STEP 03
You get a written price
You see the full cost before any work starts. If something changes, we ask first.
-
STEP 04
Fixed and tested
We finish the job, then check temperatures and airflow before packing up.
Why Homeowners Choose Us
People call us back because the first visit went the way we said it would.

How We Compare
Most HVAC complaints come down to the same few things: a price that grew mid-job, a system that was the wrong size, or a replacement sold when a repair would've done.
| What you get | HVAC Contractor Pro | Typical company |
|---|---|---|
| Written price before work starts | Always | Not always |
| Load calculation on every install | Always | Rarely |
| Repair option shown before replacement | Always | Not always |
| Own technicians, not subcontracted | Always | Not always |
| Start-up test with temperature readings | Every install | Not always |

HVAC Questions We Hear Every Week
Straight answers on cost, sizing, timing and what to expect. Still have a question? Call and ask a real person.
Call (000) 000-0000How much does a new HVAC system cost?
It depends on four things: the size of the system in tons, the efficiency rating (SEER2), whether it's gas, heat pump or electric, and the condition of your ductwork. We measure the house and give you a written quote with the full installed price.
What size AC unit does my house need?
Square footage alone isn't enough. Insulation, window direction, ceiling height and attic ducts all change the answer. We run a load calculation before recommending a system, so you don't pay for capacity you don't need or end up with a unit that can't keep up.
Should I repair my AC or replace it?
If the system is under 10 years old and the repair is a single part, repair usually makes sense. If it's past 12 to 15 years or the repair costs a big share of a new system, replacement is often the better use of your money. We show you both numbers and let you decide.
How long does an HVAC installation take?
Most straight replacements are finished in one day. If we need to change ductwork, move equipment, or add a return, it can take longer, and we'll tell you that when you get your quote.
Do you offer same-day HVAC repair?
We hold time for no-cooling and no-heat calls, especially in peak summer. Call early in the day and we'll give you the soonest opening we have.
How often should my HVAC system be serviced?
Twice a year works for most homes: a cooling check in spring before the heat sets in, and a heating check in fall before the first cold snap.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Dallas, Fort Worth, Garland, Arlington, Plano, Irving and Grand Prairie in Texas, plus Jacksonville, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Miami in Florida. Call to check if we cover your address.
Is HVAC Contractor Pro licensed and insured?
Yes. HVAC Contractor Pro is licensed and insured, and our 30+ technicians are trained and certified on the systems they install and repair.
